Can anyone with a Salary of AED30,000 in the UAE Apply for Golden Visa?
The Golden Visa has created waves among people living in and outside the UAE and everyone wants to own this prestigious visa. One of the criteria to obtain the visa is to have a monthly salary of AED30,000 but is it possible to get the Golden visa by meeting only this criterion? Let’s find out!
In accordance to the Article 17 of the Annexure to Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022, if you are in the UAE and are employed as a professional under the classification by the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MoHRE), have a Bachelor’s degree and earn a minimum of AED30,000 monthly, you are eligible to obtain the UAE Golden Residency Visa. However, you need to meet the following conditions as well:
- Obtain a work permit according to a valid work contract in the country.
- Are a skilled worker of the first or second professional level classified by the MoHRE.
- Have a license to practice as a doctor, pharmacist, teacher, or any other profession that is approved for the Golden Visa.
- Have a comprehensive health insurance for self as well as for the family members.
If you fulfil these requirements, you can apply for the Golden visa based on your salary. To apply, you need to provide the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) with the following documents:
- Copy of your original passport
- Copy of Emirates ID
- Salary Certificate
- Bank statement for the last six months
- Employment contract
- NOC from the employer
- Qualification certificate duly notarised and legalised from the country you have obtained the qualification which is also attested by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Co-operation in the UAE.
Once you meet the requirements and have all the said documents ready, you can apply for the Golden Visa through GDRFA web portal or at one of the GDRFA-approved typing centres in Dubai. If you are a resident of another land, you need to apply through the ICA, Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security or through one of its approved typing centers.
