How to Sort Problems with Residency Visa and Emirates ID in Dubai without visiting Amer centres
While the residency visa and Emirates ID are the two important documents for a hassle-free life in Dubai, there are also times when one needs to go to Amer Centers in Dubai to sort out issues regarding these documents, including their renewal. Fortunately, the Dubai Government has now introduced a video conferencing service, where you can clear the documents without visiting any Amer center!
This virtual Amer Service was showcased at the Gitex Global 2023 by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai. The service is easy to use and allows customers to speak to a GRDFA officer in real-time, helping them to resolve an existing issue.
The highlight of the service is that it is not conducted by AI or chatbot, but a real person, who would be assisting customers with all their queries. You can access this virtual service remotely and the officer will review the documents – missing or unclear. The applicant can then send a new and clear document through the chat box available in the service, thereby completing the transaction. This virtual Amer Service reduces transaction time and makes things simpler and easy for customers.
The virtual Amer Service can be used to process various documents, such as issuance and renewal of all types of visas and Emirates ID. Apparently more than 250,000 transactions were processed during the initial phase of the service.
The service is available on Monday to Friday from 7AM to 7PM, but GDRFA is planning to make it available 24/7. Amer centre is also available on call round the clock on the toll-free number 8005111, where all your queries would be answered.
