Surging Demand for 3-Month Visit Visas in UAE – Everything You Need to Know
While the three-month visit visa in the UAE was prevalent, it was suddenly discontinued during the COVID pandemic, and a 60-day visa was introduced instead. In May 2023, the three-month leisure visa was reintroduced. Ever since, there is a surge in the demand for the 3-month visit visa, travel agents vouch. Here is everything you need to know!
Currently in UAE, there are three types of single-entry visas – 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. The visitors who apply for the longer-term visa include tourists who prefer spending an extended vacation in the UAE, families including parents and children of UAE residents, their extended family members and visitors who want to explore UAE and settle down later. Since most of them feel that living and exploring in the UAE for 30 or 60 days seem too short. Hence, they want the 3-month leisure visa, which allows them to stay in the country for a longer period.
Reintroducing the three-month visit visa has been beneficial to many visitors. Tourists are able to explore the country, job seekers get a longer term to find the perfect job and families get to spend more time with their loved ones in the UAE.
Eligibility and Cost
Like every other visa, the 3-month visit visa also has an eligibility criterion. It primarily covers two categories – one, where a resident can sponsor their immediate family or friends. They need to keep a deposit of AED1,000 for the same, along with a minimum salary requirement of AED6,000 to AED8,000. Meanwhile, the second category is open to anyone who could be sponsored by a travel agent. All they need to submit is the copy of their passport and photographs for identification.
The first category of visit visas cost around AED800 with a deposit of AED1,000 which is refundable. They can apply through the official immigration website. For the second category, those who are interested can apply through their travel agent and the cost would be from AED1,200 to AED1,400.
According to experts, those who find it extremely difficult to leave the country for a visa extension have benefited greatly from the 90-day visa. It allows people to stay a little longer and make the most of their UAE visit. It is a great place to be, after all, isn’t it?
